This week's idiom is "in a nutshell"

       "The movie I saw last weekend was really good.  The story was interesting.  It was about a gorilla who gets his brain switched with Jack Nicholson and has to learn how to live his new life.  The scenery was also really beautiful.  In a nutshell, it was one of the best movies I've seen this year."

      "John and I went out for dinner on Friday night to this restaurant downtown.  You wouldn't believe it.  It was smoky, noisy with terrible music, and the service was really slow.  The food was OK, but with everything else, it wasn't worth it.  In a nutshell, it was a terrible restaurant."

"In a nutshell" is a casual way to summarize ( かいつまむ) the previous long description, usually into only one sentence.
